Over the years The Olana Partnership & NYS Parks worked to bury the overhead power lines that were installed in the 20th century. This scar, visible from the Rip Van Winkle Bridge, is the last visible remnant of the poles, the last of which was removed in July 2008. Photo taken in February 2014.
